At a lively masquerade party, Tubbs and Crockett infiltrate the crowd. Tubbs dances with Angelina, using the opportunity to question her about her father, Calderone. The romantic atmosphere turns hostile as Tubbs presses her. Later on the beach, Tubbs is held at gunpoint by thugs but manages to turn the tables. He reveals to Angelina that her father is a criminal who murdered his brother, leaving her distraught.
